Empowering Open Source Since 2014

Keeping the World’s Best Diagramming Classic Alive.

Welcome to the community-driven home of Dia Diagram Editor. In an era dominated by subscription-based cloud tools and data privacy concerns, we believe that powerful, offline-first, and 100% free software should never disappear.

“Our mission is simple: To provide a secure, verified, and optimized distribution of Dia v0.97.2, ensuring it remains compatible with the hardware and operating systems of 2026 and beyond.”

Why We Do What We Do

Our commitment to the Dia user community is built on three unbreakable pillars.

🛡️

Integrity & Security

Every installer hosted on our servers undergoes multi-engine antivirus scanning. We provide original SHA-256 checksums to ensure that what you download is exactly what the developers intended.

⚖️

Open Source Ethos

We strictly adhere to the GNU General Public License (GPL). We believe in the freedom of software—meaning no paywalls, no “pro” versions, and no data harvesting from our users.

🌍

Legacy Continuity

Software shouldn’t die because it’s “old”. We provide modern optimization guides for Windows 11/12 and macOS, bridging the gap between legacy stability and modern hardware.

Project Context

Dia was originally created by Alexander Larsson as part of the GNOME Office suite. While the official GNOME repository remains the primary upstream source, our mission is to act as a curated downstream mirror that focuses on the end-user experience for modern Windows and Mac desktops.

Connecting History with the Future

We are an independent team of open-source enthusiasts who noticed a growing gap: while Dia v0.97.2 is still the most stable version for professionals, it has become increasingly difficult to find safe, unbundled, and optimized installers on the modern web.

Our role is to provide:

  • Verified Binary Mirrors
  • Win 11/12 Patch Guides
  • High-DPI Fix Tutorials
  • Community Shape Packs
